The start is located at “Sportlandgoed De Haamen” in Beek, 2km from our 3* hotel. The finish is at the “Koningsplein” on the Groene Loper in Maastricht, there will be a shuttle service from the finish area to our hotels.
The course is a local lap of 50km which will be done 1,5 or 2,5 times on Saturday and 3,5 times on Sunday before making the connection to the finish loop.
The first lap is slightly different and has a 5km wide open paved road with some climbing to spread up the peloton after the start before entering the first gravel.
The distances vary by age group:
Tucked into the southern Dutch countryside, Beek and the wider Zuid-Limburg region offer some of the most rewarding gravel riding in the Netherlands.
This area is defined by gently rolling hills and a patchwork of unpaved farm lanes, wooded tracks, and historic double trails—known locally as karresporen—making it ideal for both skill-building rides and scenic adventures. Expect short, sharp climbs, sweeping descents, and plenty of variety under your wheels.
We have the best hotel locations available for this race. Our 3* option in Beek is just 2km from the start line – remove all the stress from raceday and stay right by the action!
We have two hotel options to choose from:
Ibis Budget – 2* Hotel
Bastion Geleen – 3* Hotel
We are very proud to bring this world class event to Denbighshire and have worked hard with the local authorities to maximise the benefit to the community & minimise the inconveniences.
If you have a local business you would like us to promote to our visiting riders or you want to learn more about the schedule for the day road closures, please complete this form and we will get back to you asap.
Bike Choice: The route is designed for gravel bikes with 99% of the route being off road.
Tyre Choice: We will send an update on conditions closer to the ride. The gravel is mostly smooth throughout so a fast rolling or all rounder 35mm to 40mm tyre should be ideal.
Packing List: Bring equipment to be self sufficient on the route (inner tubes, sealant, multi-tool, pump or CO2, foil blanket etc).
Clothing: Likely to be fresh at this time of the year particularly early morning so layer up accordingly. Helmets are mandatory, you will not be able to ride without one.
The race start is at Sportlandgoed De Haamen in Beek.
You will be able to cycle to the start as our two partner hotels are located very close by: the Bastion is 2 km, and the Ibis is 6 km.
From Maastricht Airport: Beek is located 8 km from Maastricht Airport.
From Brussels airport (BRU): As an optional add on (£99 return), we are organising airport transfers from Brussels Airport (BRU) to Beek.
On arrival day, Friday 10th, we’ll have one transfer at 10.30 am. On Sunday 12th, we’ll have a transfer at 5.00 pm (for flights after 8.30 pm), and Monday 13th at 7 am (for flights after 10.30 am). The transfer takes approx. 1h20.
