Ride Overview
A late summer epic in the Lincolnshire Wolds. This is one of our longest rides of the year with a full 153km long route in a beautiful part of the country.
From the heights of the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB to the flat coastal roads along the North Sea, join us for a glorious & varied day on smooth gravel trails, ancient Roman Roads & rolling farmtracks.
This route has more tarmac than most of our rides but tons of variety with short road sections then short gravel / farm track sections. We expect the long route to take 7-9 hours for most riders and the medium route 4-6 hours.

Long Route
One of our biggest rides of the year!
Starting at Cadwell Park Circuit, this is a route of three parts with a start in the rolling hills of Lincolnshire Wolds AONB, then a long flat stretch to the coast & back and a final part back in the hills.
Our first 35km is a good warm up for the ride with some gentle climbs on a mix of tarmac & gravel. After a 3km gravel descent, we head onto the coastal plains for 45km of fast, flat riding with short sections of road followed by short sections of farmtrack / gravel.
At 87km we head back up into the Wolds and the last 65km is a lovely mix of gentle hills, rolling countryside and a mix of ride surface. Save some energy for a cheeky little climb right at the end!

Bike Selection & Packing List
Bike Choice: This route is a real mix of back roads, smooth gravel and farm tracks but is designed for gravel bikes. Mountain bikes will be fine but slower, road bikes are not allowed. E-bikes are allowed on all of our rides.
Tyre Choice: We will send an update on conditions closer to the ride. In normal conditions we suggest fast rolling or all rounder, 38mm to 45mm tyre width should be ideal.
Packing List: Bring equipment to be self sufficient on the route (inner tubes, sealant, multi-tool, pump or CO2, foil blanket etc). We recommend a bell to warn walkers / runners of your presence.
Clothing: Likely to be nice at this time of the year but could be fresh in the morning so pack accordingly (arm & leg / knee warmers, gilet, waterproof jacket etc). Helmets are mandatory, you will not be able to ride without one.
