Bike & Tyre Choice: The route has a real mix of terrain and the weather will make a big difference to conditions. If it’s wet, the mud will be slippy. If dry, the sand will be hard. Gravel bikes are preferred as the right mix but mountain bikes will be fine for most of the route. It is not suited to road bikes.
